The Green Apron is a cookery school and catering company with a passion for fresh, seasonal, wholesome and above all else, very yummy food.

The cookery school is based in the home kitchen of a beautiful 1870s house in the heart of the historic village of Coggeshall. Run by Leith’s trained, experienced caterer and home cook Claire Barham - the aim of the cookery school is to help participants build confidence in the kitchen and learn new skills – whatever their current level of ability.

Focused very much on home cooking we won’t use fancy equipment or ingredients – just help you build your repertoire of simple delicious recipes you can enjoy every day. We’ll all work together around a big island in my garden room kitchen – classes will be fun, relaxed and very hands on with lots of one to one support. You’ll leave the day with a bag full of goodies, a full stomach and a host of new tips and skills.

The cookery school will be launching early summer with initial classes including Seasonal Suppers, Cooking Fish with Confidence, Introduction to Baking and Everyday Italian.
